“My dearest friend, if you don’t mind, I’d like to join you by your side. Where we could gaze into the stars, and sit together, now and forever. For it is plain as anyone can see, we’re simply meant to be.” ― Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas

I can’t think of a better way to close out our 2024 Wedding Season than with Tera and Kyle’s Wedding Day! Tera & Kyle are the kind of couple you can sit down and have the most lovely conversation with about really anything! All of our planning sessions were filled with the most wonderful moments that I knew when it came to their big day it was going to be amazing!

The weather could not have been more perfect and probably was one of, if not the last, nice days of Fall this year! Couple that with the beautiful trees turning color and such lovely locations for the ceremony, portraits, and reception and you have the most perfect wedding day! One of my favorite parts on a wedding day is when I get to see the dress for the first time, and this one was a beauty! Tera later told me that she designed it herself!! Zach got Kyle dressed and then took the guys for pictures before the ceremony and had so much fun capturing all the creative ideas they had!

Their Ceremony was held at The Preserve at Silver Spring which had a perfect spot overlooking the Green for the ceremony to take place! We headed to Menomee Park afterwards for portraits and I wish I could have stayed for hours shooting there! The light was insanely perfect and there were so many different areas in which to create beautiful portraits! Following portraits, before we returned to the reception, Tera & Kyle exchanged private vows with each other, and there was not a dry eye between us. I loved the idea when they presented it to me during our last planning session, I think it was the perfect way to end our portraits session!!

The reception at Twelve29 held so many fun moments, between a special cake made by their grandma, and a fun caramel apple station, it was little thoughtful details like that that made the evening so special. Not to mention the amazing dance moves their guests had!

Thank you Tera and Kyle for the honor of being your wedding photographers! We had so much fun capturing your day and feeling like part of the family! I know you guys are going to have the most fabulous marriage and I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you will accomplish together!

“That might sound boring, but I think the boring stuff is the stuff I remember the most.” — Russell from Disney Pixar Up

Maria and Logan are FAR from boring but when I was searching for a quote for this post I kept coming back to this one from the movie Up, which is where they got the music for their recessional song. To me, that quote means that even the most simple things in life can bring the most joy and happiness to a relationship and at the end of the day, yes, you will remember those big mountaintop experiences, but you hopefully also remember all the simple everyday experiences you have with the person you love. This I feel describes Logan and Maria, they have shared so many amazing moments in life but still find joy in the normal activities of the day-to-day and just love spending time together doing whatever needs to be done.
I have known the Noll family for several years and have been a part of so many amazing moments that it was an honor to be a part of yet another big milestone in Maria’s life.

As we pulled up the Brindlewood Barn on Saturday morning I knew we were in for a treat! What a gorgeous venue. Every aspect of the venue was thought out and made photography so easy because there were so many ways to be creative with the space!

Finishing touches on hair and makeup led into the beautiful letters that Maria and Logan wrote for each other. I was fighting back tears as Maria read aloud Logan’s letter, such heartfelt sentiments that truly matched her own. Once dressed we had only wait for the moment the whole day centered around, the ceremony! Mr. & Mrs. Noll both walked Maria down the aisle. Logan was so moved by the beauty of his bride and it made me tear up to see him so happy. It’s moments like that that make me so honored to be the one capturing these moments in time. I mean look at his face, that is a Man who is just in love with his soon-to-be wife!

After some windy portraits and an awesome picture on the venue's barn ramp with all the guests in attendance, we enjoyed dinner, speeches, outstanding desserts, and a lively dance floor. What more could you ask for to end such a perfect day?

Maria and Logan, thank you for trusting me with documenting your love story. I have loved watching each chapter unfold and I cannot wait to see what amazing things are in store for both of you as you begin your new life as Mr. & Mrs. Boldt
