“I see trees of green, red roses too. I see them bloom for me and you, and I think to myself, what a wonderful world.” - Louis Armstrong

On Saturday we kicked off our 2025 Wedding Season with Justin and Annie’s wedding day! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day! I have known Justin since high school so it was an honor to capture and be a part of such an amazing event in his and Annie’s life! Annie brightens up any room with her beautiful smile and infectious laughter. From the moment I met her at our engagement session, I knew we would be fast friends!

Surrounded by her family and close friends Annie and her party got ready at her childhood home and her parents were so gracious and thought of every detail one might need to get ready for a wedding day! After getting dressed we headed to our First Look location at Père Marquette Park. The weather held and we avoided the rain and enjoyed the beautiful spring day capturing portraits in the park!

After pictures, we headed to the Milwaukee Public Museum for the ceremony and reception. It was so cool getting to capture a wedding day in a place I visited so many times growing up. The staff was beyond amazing to work with and Annie and Justin’s wedding planner Marsha was a rockstar and helped everything run so smoothly! Pictures with a T-Rex, a ceremony outside the butterfly exhibit, dinner on the Old Streets of Milwaukee, the list goes on for all the amazing spots we got to celebrate in!

Annie and Justin, I wish you nothing but life’s best as you start your new lives together! You planned the most perfect wedding day and it was our honor to be a part of it! Cheers!

“My dearest friend, if you don’t mind, I’d like to join you by your side. Where we could gaze into the stars, and sit together, now and forever. For it is plain as anyone can see, we’re simply meant to be.” ― Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas

I can’t think of a better way to close out our 2024 Wedding Season than with Tera and Kyle’s Wedding Day! Tera & Kyle are the kind of couple you can sit down and have the most lovely conversation with about really anything! All of our planning sessions were filled with the most wonderful moments that I knew when it came to their big day it was going to be amazing!

The weather could not have been more perfect and probably was one of, if not the last, nice days of Fall this year! Couple that with the beautiful trees turning color and such lovely locations for the ceremony, portraits, and reception and you have the most perfect wedding day! One of my favorite parts on a wedding day is when I get to see the dress for the first time, and this one was a beauty! Tera later told me that she designed it herself!! Zach got Kyle dressed and then took the guys for pictures before the ceremony and had so much fun capturing all the creative ideas they had!

Their Ceremony was held at The Preserve at Silver Spring which had a perfect spot overlooking the Green for the ceremony to take place! We headed to Menomee Park afterwards for portraits and I wish I could have stayed for hours shooting there! The light was insanely perfect and there were so many different areas in which to create beautiful portraits! Following portraits, before we returned to the reception, Tera & Kyle exchanged private vows with each other, and there was not a dry eye between us. I loved the idea when they presented it to me during our last planning session, I think it was the perfect way to end our portraits session!!

The reception at Twelve29 held so many fun moments, between a special cake made by their grandma, and a fun caramel apple station, it was little thoughtful details like that that made the evening so special. Not to mention the amazing dance moves their guests had!

Thank you Tera and Kyle for the honor of being your wedding photographers! We had so much fun capturing your day and feeling like part of the family! I know you guys are going to have the most fabulous marriage and I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you will accomplish together!
