“Look at the stars, Look how they shine for you, And everything you do, Yeah they were all yellow” - Yellow by Coldplay

This is the song that Anna was singing on the night they met. When I was talking with them about their story I remember Joseph telling me that he heard Anna singing and he just had to turn around and see who it was. When he turned around he said “She was even more beautiful than her voice.” Now isn’t that just romantic???? Anna and Joseph are truly made for each other and I can see how much they truly love each other!

They had a beautiful wedding day this past Saturday surrounded by their closest family and friends due to the restriction that we all find ourselves in these days due to Covid-19. I have to say I actually really like these “micro weddings” or so people are calling them. It allows the focus to be completely on the couple and really centers around the most important part of the day, actually getting married! Anna and Joseph share many interests, one being music. Joseph actually wrote the song that they walked down the aisle to during the ceremony which made it even more beautiful!

Anna’s parents had everyone back to the house for a delightful reception. The house was beautifully decorated and allowed for some refreshment and fellowship with those dear to them! We finished the evening by exploring some spots in Sheboygan for portraits and found some gorgeous locations! They even walked out onto the jetties to create one of my favorite portraits of the whole day!!

Thank you Anna and Joseph for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day and capture the love that God has placed in your hearts for each other! I wish you nothing but the best as you start your lives together! Congratulations!!

“And I know my life is better because you're a part of it. I know without you by my side that I would be different.” - Jason Mraz

It’s not every day you get to photograph a Leap Day wedding, and it’s not every day that you get to photograph a relationship like Jason and Mackenzie’s. The love they share for each other, their best friend, has been such a joy to witness. Saturday was filled with so many moments of joy and happiness for not only each other but for all of their friends and family who came to celebrate with them!

A fun part about their wedding day was getting to do their pictures on Campus at Carol University. The place where they both went to school and where they met! We did their first look atop one of the science buildings and the view was amazing! There were so many beautiful spots on campus, I could have stayed for hours!

During the ceremony, they included some traditional Filipino Wedding traditions symbolizing, purity, their never-ending love, and that they will always take care of each others needs. It was very special and so cool to witness and be a part of!

During the reception, we got to have breakfast for dinner which I thought was so creative and unique, just like Mackenzie and Jason. It was a great way to celebrate the day! There was also no lack of enthusiasm for dancing which was so fun to capture. I love the raw emotions on people’s faces as they enjoy the music and dance the night away.

Overall I could not have asked for a more perfect way to start 2020’s wedding season. Thank you, Mackenzie and Jason, from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to share this day with you, I will remember it forever!
