“Love always find its way home, no matter how far it wanders.” -Unknown

If Saturday was anymore perfect I don’t think I would have believed it was a real day! From the start of the day to the reception everything was amazing! Sam and nIck got married at Blue Harbor on Saturday with the most perfect background of Lake Michigan. They may live in Florida now but Sam said the lake is one of her favorite spots in Sheboygan! I’ve known Nick for a little while through school but getting to know Sam over the last few months has been amazing! The two of them are such peas in a pod! They are so welcoming and laid back which made wedding planning so much fun!

We had the perfect over cast skies for their outdoor ceremony , and against all odds the rain never hit us! (perks of being right on the lake!) The stormy skies were the perfect accent to the beautiful dresses and suites of the bridal party. And speaking of bridal party, what a fun group of people!! we had so much fun capturing just that, FUN! They were up for all of my crazy ideas and I loved it!!

The reception was equally as fun! One of my favorite parts is when everyone gets on the dance floor and dances their hearts out. I love music and dancing and often have to hold myself back from jumping in and dancing along with them! And speaking of dancing Sam and her Dad did a choreographed dance for their father daughter dance and I think it might have been the best part of the day!!

Congratulations Sam & Nick!! It was an honor to capture our day and I would do it all over agin in a heart beat. I loved working for you two!!

“240 thousand miles from the moon, we've come a long way to belong here, to share this view of the night, a glorious night. Over the horizon is another bright sky, oh, my, my, how beautiful.” - Jason Mraz

This is a lyric from the song that Jorden and his mom danced to for their Mother/Son Dance and I thought it beautifully summed up the glorious day we had on Saturday with Emily and Jorden for their wedding! They both went through so many different plans for their wedding day that no one should have to deal with, but still ended up with a practically perfect day!

Emily and Jorden’s ceremony in Howards Grove was wonderful. Jorden’s cousin sang during the ceremony and had a voice like an angel. It added a perfect touch to the ceremony. I love live music and anytime I get to enjoy it on a wedding day I am happy! Plus, did you see how adorable the ring bearer and flower girls were?? They did such a great job!

We headed to Pine Hills next to take some bridal portraits before dinner started. I absolutely loved shooting at Pine Hills and everyone there is so helpful and accommodating. The golf course was a beautiful backdrop for all of our pictures and getting to drive a golf cart is always fun!

Probably one of my favorite parts of the wedding day was that they did their first dances out on the patio at Pine Hills. Because of that, they had a great background for the first dance they shared as husband and wife! I had tears in my eyes as Emily and her dad danced to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman for their Father/Daughter dance. That is the same song that my dad and I danced to on my wedding day and it brings back so many fond memories! <3

Congratulations Emily and Jorden and a perfect day filled with so many lasting memories. I hope that for years to come you guys will look back and remember all these moments on your wedding day and be reminded of God’s blessings in your lives and of the love your family and friends have for you two! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to be a witness to such a beautiful day!
