“And nobody does it better, makes me feel sad for the rest. Nobody does it half as good as you. Baby, baby, Darlin', you're the best.” - Carly Simon

If anyone knows me they know how much I love music, I think my younger brother would argue that he’s more music obsessed them I am, however bottom line, my siblings and I were raised to love and appreciate music and I believe that when I find other people who love and appreciate music as much as I do we just click.

During our very first time meeting each other, music was one of the first things we bonded over. Talking about different artists and various concerts we had all been to. Matilda and Riley shared that bond between the two of them and just like the music they listened to they were brilliant and unique and full of love for each other and everything creative. Matilda has a very creative eye and you’ll see throughout the wedding day how that just brought everything together!

As everyone was getting ready the morning of the wedding you could feel the excitement mounting as we neared the time for the first look. Matilda picked a beautiful location in downtown Milwaukee at which to see her soon-to-be husband for the first time on their wedding day! We proceeded to explore the area along the river walk for pictures and play around with lots of different background settings, a photographer’s playground if you will!! You will find you never have to ask me twice to spend extra time on a wedding day taking portraits!

After portraits, we headed over to South Shore Park for the beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking Lake Michigan and a reception in the lovely Terrace at the park! After the ceremony Matilda and Riley got to take a little stroll to soak in the moments that had just occurred and it was so special to be a fly on the wall as they reflected on the days events. Everyone busted out their best dance moves for the dancing portion of the reception and the night played on with the best soundtrack to end a perfect day!

Matilda & Riley thank you for choosing and trusting me to be your wedding photographer. Meeting and becoming friends has been such a treat! As you start your new lives together Zach and I wish you nothing but the best and a lifetime of love, laughter, and happily ever after!!

“And I wonder, when I sing along with you, if everything could ever be this real forever, if anything could ever be this good again” -Foo Fighters

As I sit down to write this blog post I am finding it hard to find the right words. How can I ever possibly describe the perfect wedding day this past Saturday? How can I express the emotions of seeing my little brother marry the love of his life or the joy I felt every moment of the day knowing that Paul and Mati possess the love that most couples dream of and truly happens only once upon a time? Somehow I will try, but just know that what you read here is only a fraction of the beautiful wedding of the new Mr. & Mrs. Doro!

Saturday may have started out brisk, and by brisk I mean about 50 degrees in September in Wisconsin lol, but it quickly warmed up with the hustle and bustle of getting ready. Mati and Paul’s details were a true reflection of their individual personalities. From the little mushroom ring box to Paul’s crazy socks, each item was thoughtfully chosen to help them celebrate and remember this day!

Paul and Mati didn’t want to do a first look but wanted to exchange letters before the ceremony. As we waited for that moment to happen I witnessed my brother in a state of pure love and admiration for his soon-to-be wife, the tears were flowing because he knew the gravity and the joy of the moments shortly to come. I think this moment will forever be one of my favorites of the day and I feel blessed to have witnessed this special second in time!

My Dad performed the ceremony, which was beyond beautiful and perfect in every way. The music was perfectly chosen, and I loved how they connected puzzle pieces for the unity ceremony, and the ring warming was very touching. *give me a sec to dry my eyes*

Bridal party portraits were made possible by the amazing Jacob Wittneben, who was the videographer for the day. We explored the beautiful property around the venue and captured so many amazing poses!

The day ended with yummy pizza, donuts, dancing, speaches, and overall a big party to celebrate Paul and Mati, such a fun night.

Mr. & Mrs. Doro, may God bless the two of you as you daily seek his face and start your new life together. I will forever treasure each and every moment of your wedding and continually feel honored to have captured your big day!
