“And I know my life is better because you're a part of it. I know without you by my side that I would be different.” - Jason Mraz

It’s not every day you get to photograph a Leap Day wedding, and it’s not every day that you get to photograph a relationship like Jason and Mackenzie’s. The love they share for each other, their best friend, has been such a joy to witness. Saturday was filled with so many moments of joy and happiness for not only each other but for all of their friends and family who came to celebrate with them!

A fun part about their wedding day was getting to do their pictures on Campus at Carol University. The place where they both went to school and where they met! We did their first look atop one of the science buildings and the view was amazing! There were so many beautiful spots on campus, I could have stayed for hours!

During the ceremony, they included some traditional Filipino Wedding traditions symbolizing, purity, their never-ending love, and that they will always take care of each others needs. It was very special and so cool to witness and be a part of!

During the reception, we got to have breakfast for dinner which I thought was so creative and unique, just like Mackenzie and Jason. It was a great way to celebrate the day! There was also no lack of enthusiasm for dancing which was so fun to capture. I love the raw emotions on people’s faces as they enjoy the music and dance the night away.

Overall I could not have asked for a more perfect way to start 2020’s wedding season. Thank you, Mackenzie and Jason, from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to share this day with you, I will remember it forever!

"To get everything, It’s going to take everything. So we’re going to give everything. EVERYTHING WE GOT." -New England Patriots

Jackie and Jake felt like friends from the moment I met them! The fact that Jake and I are both Patriots fans was an added bonus and I'll try to forget the Jackie is a Packers fan! ;)

Jackie and Jake are some of the sweetest, most genuine people you will ever meet and being apart of their lives for their wedding was truly amazing. And yes, they gave Saturday everything they had!

We had a wonderful time doing the First Look and all of our portraits at the old historical Wade House before the ceremony. The Wade House was such a beautiful location for all of our portraits and I can’t wait to go back there and shoot again. Jackie’s parents had THEIR wedding portraits done at the Wade House years ago and it was fun to reminisce about as we walked around the beautiful grounds.

Jackie and Jake, thank you so much for including me in your big day. Capturing it was such an honor and a mesmerizing experience. I wish you guys safe travels back home and a lifetime of happiness and love!
