jorden & emily

“240 thousand miles from the moon, we've come a long way to belong here, to share this view of the night, a glorious night. Over the horizon is another bright sky, oh, my, my, how beautiful.” - Jason Mraz

This is a lyric from the song that Jorden and his mom danced to for their Mother/Son Dance and I thought it beautifully summed up the glorious day we had on Saturday with Emily and Jorden for their wedding! They both went through so many different plans for their wedding day that no one should have to deal with, but still ended up with a practically perfect day!

Emily and Jorden’s ceremony in Howards Grove was wonderful. Jorden’s cousin sang during the ceremony and had a voice like an angel. It added a perfect touch to the ceremony. I love live music and anytime I get to enjoy it on a wedding day I am happy! Plus, did you see how adorable the ring bearer and flower girls were?? They did such a great job!

We headed to Pine Hills next to take some bridal portraits before dinner started. I absolutely loved shooting at Pine Hills and everyone there is so helpful and accommodating. The golf course was a beautiful backdrop for all of our pictures and getting to drive a golf cart is always fun!

Probably one of my favorite parts of the wedding day was that they did their first dances out on the patio at Pine Hills. Because of that, they had a great background for the first dance they shared as husband and wife! I had tears in my eyes as Emily and her dad danced to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman for their Father/Daughter dance. That is the same song that my dad and I danced to on my wedding day and it brings back so many fond memories! <3

Congratulations Emily and Jorden and a perfect day filled with so many lasting memories. I hope that for years to come you guys will look back and remember all these moments on your wedding day and be reminded of God’s blessings in your lives and of the love your family and friends have for you two! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to be a witness to such a beautiful day!

“'Cause baby there ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough, to keep me from getting to you babe.” -Marvin Gaye

This is the song that Luke and Sarah left the ceremony with and what fitting lyrics considering they weren’t going to let COVID ruin their wedding day! They had the perfect intimate ceremony and light reception on Saturday, choosing to save the big celebration for later! (So be on the lookout for part 2) They were married at their beautiful church surrounded by their loving families and tons of friends and family watching the live stream!

After a beautiful ceremony and cupcake reception, we were able to visit not one but two beautiful parks in the Waukesha area and spend time exploring and laughing and taking bridal portraits! They were such troopers and were the perfect pair to explore and try out new spots!

Luke and Sarah are about the kindest people you will ever meet. Getting to know them and watch their relationship bloom has been a real treat and I cannot wait for part two!! Congratulations Luke & Sarah and may God bless your marriage for years to come!
