“Though I know I'll never lose affection, for people and things that went before. I know I'll often stop and think about them. In my life I love you more.” - The Beatles

Eric and Renee are the type of people that make you feel like you’ve been lifelong friends. I have so enjoyed getting to know them over this past year and was honored to be a part of their wedding day!

Last Fall I got a message from Eric asking about family pictures and saying that he was planning to propose to Renee during those photos. What a romantic plan! I was in love with the idea and when the day came it could not have happened more perfectly! From that moment forward we have had so much fun planning together, talking about our dogs, and becoming friends!

Saturday’s wedding was held at Renee’s parent’s church in a beautifully decorated sanctuary! During our last planning session, Eric had asked if I thought it was weird to want the theme from Jurassic Park as the music for the bridal party to walk down to and I said not at all!! It’s a beautiful piece of music and most people wouldn’t even notice. I had the biggest smile when the pianist started playing it for the bridal party, day=made! It was little touches like this throughout the entire wedding day that made it feel so much more personal and beautiful! At the reception, they had a “candy bar” for guests to enjoy which included chocolate, skittles, basically all the good candy, and also fruity rolls! Renee told me that Eric used to extra stop on his way home from work to get her bags of them just because he knew they were her favorite. <3

I could reshoot Saturday’s wedding over and over again and never get tired of the amazing people, the beautiful decorations, and all the love that made Saturday a success! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Weyker, and in the words of Eric “May you grow old together into cute little peanuts!”

“Every road is a slippery slope, there is always a hand that you can hold on to. Looking deeper through the telescope, you can see that your homes inside of you.” - Jason Mraz

Dan and Shawna like many 2020 couples had a long journey to get to their wedding day, many unique challenges along the way made Saturday that more special. Whatever the obstacle, Dan and Shawna tackled it together, and finally on Saturday, surrounded by their closest friends and family they were able to have the wedding they had been planning since Dan popped the question! What a true honor it was to capture all of the day’s events!

Saturday brought a beautiful overcast day with the perfect lighting for each part of the day! We got to do detai shots at their beautiful reception venue, Carsons Mill in Brillion, followed by getting the bride and groom dressed and ready for their private first look! It’s always such a beautiful moment when the groom sees his bride for the first time and then again when she walks down the aisle!

Their ceremony was short and sweet and included their own vows that they wrote for each other. I love this touch on wedding days when the couple has a chance to share some words from the heart and share their promises for each other!

We explored Brillion after the ceremony for the Bridal Party portraits and Brillion did not disappoint! What fun locations we found and I am thrilled with the end result! Speeches, cake, and dancing finished off the night as everyone enjoyed the fun music and yummy cupcakes. All I have to say is those guys know how to dance, what a fun time!!

Thank you Dan and Shawna for allowing me the honor to be your wedding photographer, I have loved every moment of planning and shooting with you two! Congratulations on your marriage and may God bless you with many more to come!!
